He also still owns the balloons below - showing their age (as does the owner !) after being first flown in 1977. Final public exhibition in Air-Britain Sales marquee at Popham on 5 May 2007 they are now back in store ! Those below show G-BERN on inflation at Bath after acceptance from Charles Saffery (to the left of the balloon) and both “performing” at the Marsh Benham Icicle meet in 1978.
