During its Army career as XP772 it took part in Exercise Mirza in Southern Sudan during 1974. It was used, inter alia, for ferrying supplies to 32 Field Sqdn Royal Engineers during their 12 week support of the Sudanese Engineer Corps in their bridge-building duties.
