CASA 2.111 Part No:17 Build date 7.11.49 as per plate at base of fin. Actual c/n is 053.

The real B2I-27 (c/n 155) is housed in the Cavanaugh Flight Museum at Addison, Dallas, Texas. Possibly the tails of these two aircraft were swapped at some time during their Spanish AF careers.

Featured in BoB Film in 1967 among others at Tablada, Spain where it remained after filming. Part-exchange deal with Spanish Air Force Museum, whereby OFMC commissioned the build of a DH.4 Replica from Classic Aircraft at Manor Farm Glatton for the Museum. CASA 2.111 airlifted beneath German AF CH-53G from Spain 24.3.98 and after a temporary weather stop at Portland, arrived at Duxford 27.3.98. Currently (12.06) fuselage is in Hangar 2N and the wings stacked in Hangar 5
